Everyone kind of knows dynamic content is powerful, but will templates drive adoption?

Hey Melinda + team ๐ย I applied for the open Growth Product Designer position, I’ve been keeping an eye out on the Zapier job board for a role on the growth team for a while now. Here’s why I’d be a good fit:
โ 6+ years of experience as a product designer
โ Most recently spent the last couple of years shipping a ton of real product experiences to drive retention and growth, boosting NRR by 9% YoY
โ My entire desktop is screenshots of growth-y things I see on other apps to try out
Listen, I’m a Zapier STAN ok? Not only do we use zaps a ton at Litmus to automate a lot of scheduling, posting, and follow ups for our continuous discovery motion here, the ‘Popular Templates’ module when you first sign up for Zapier was a huge inspiration for our own growth test for the ‘templates’ view when we launched the ability to publish dynamic content.
I’d love to be considered for the position and know that I have a lot to offer and even more to learn!
Does teasing templates drive adoption?
Why
Results
We had GREAT results. It resulted in a 27% increase in users publishing content with a template, and gave us the go ahead and to continue to iterate on this.

The real lesson from this test was that users were looking for industry specific examples. Much of the dynamic content used in emails today is heavily targeted towards ecommerce and retail brands, but that’s a small segment of our user base.
The next step from this test was using AI to detect their industry and serving more realistic and specific examples using the brand colors they already have loaded in their account.
